User Manual Confirms ASUS VivoTab Note 8 Tablet Ahead of Potential CES Announcement

Computer manufacturing company ASUS verified the existence of its VivoTab Note 8 tablet this morning after it published a full manual for the device on its website. The specifications found within these pages lines up with leaks published over the past several weeks and months.

The VivoTab Note 8 will reportedly run on Windows 8.1, and will house an Intel Atom Z3740 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a varied storage capacity with a maximum of 64GB, a 1280 x 800 resolution touchscreen display, a stylus, front and rear cameras, and a microSD slot for storage expansion.

This new slate is comparable to the Dell Venue 8 Pro, though the VivoTab has a stylus, setting it apart in at least that regard. The reported specs of the VivoTab put it in the $300 price window, though ASUS hasn’t nailed that down yet.

In fact, we don’t know any of the rock solid details until ASUS comes out and makes a big announcement and confirms it all. If only there were a consumer electronics show where we could hear more of these details…
