Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 Leaks, Brings Along KitKat and New Thin Enclosure

Everyone’s favorite mobile leaker @evleaks is at it again, this time supplying some interesting new information about Sony’s upcoming Android tablet flagship, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2, just days after leaking some interesting new Samsung Galaxy S5 nuggets of information. According to the infamous source of leaks, the Xperia Tablet Z2 – seen above – is the company’s replacement to the original Xperia Tablet Z.

According to @evleaks, the upgraded tablet is coming with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC running at 2.3 GHz, a 10″ display with a full HD 1080p resolution of 1920 x 1200, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage expandable with a microSD card, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, a beefy 6000mAh battery, and Android 4.4 KitKat. Perhaps most notably, @evleaks also claims that the tablet will feature a new even thinner 6.4mm enclosure, significantly thinner than the current generation Xperia Tablet Z which is already pretty thin at 6.4mm.

No word yet on when we’ll see Sony officially announce the tablet, or how much it’ll cost for you to get your hands on one when it does finally drop. Chances are that we’ll probably be hearing more at Mobile World Conference, which is just a couple of days away now.
