Talking tech since 2003

Oops! Sony’s Japanese press site just prematurely posted pics of the Xperia Z “Yuga” and the Xperia ZL “Odin” — two new Android based smartphones coming out of Sony. The phones are expected to be announced officially at CES.

According to Engadget, Sony’s new line of smartphones will likely have a 5-inch 1080p LCD, quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processors with 2 gigs of RAM, and Adreno 320 graphics. They’re said to also have a 13-megapixel Exmor RS sensor on the rear.

That sounds pretty nice. Then again, when was the last time you owned a Sony phone?

Update: We have a photo courtesy of Engadget of the Sony Xperia Z spotted in the wild on the CES show floor, which leads us to believe that an announcement is definitely coming this week.
