The New Happy
I only recently found Stephanie Harrison's newsletter, The New Happy, but boy am I glad I did. The New Happy focuses on helping you unlock your happy so you can be the greatest version of you: a you that is happy, fulfilled, and making a difference in the world. This is something I have personally been working on myself and I'm really thrilled to see Stephanie bringing it to everyone.
Stephanie's background is impressive too. She holds a Masters Degree in the study of positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and also became an instructor in Penn's graduate program teaching alongside the founder of the field, Dr. Martin Seligman. She was also the Head of Curriculum for Thrive Global, where she led the design of behavior change experiences to help employees improve their well-being and performance.
But perhaps most importantly of all, Stephanie is a world-class human. I've had the pleasure to exchange several emails with her since signing up for her newsletter and she's truly wonderful – extremely nice and helpful.
The reason I think The New Happy is so important and also now one of my favorite newsletters is because Stephanie is right: somewhere along the way we, as humans (at least in the U.S.) have lost the definition of happiness. We need to retrain our brains and relearn what true happiness looks like and is. Everyone should signup for Stephanie's newsletter right now! She sends it out every Sunday.
