Pingle Review: Use Ping.FM On Your iPhone

Just about a year or so ago, a website called Ping.FM came out (our review) that allowed you to send status updates or mircoblogs to numerous social networking sites around the web at the same time. Since then it has grown to support many more social networking sites and also has its fair share of methods to send these updates.

Pingle, the iPhone app for Ping.FM, is one of the best of all the methods of sending an update, if you have an iPhone of course. As of now, Pingle is $1.99 in the App Store. What I like about this application is that it has a simple, not too crowded interface. The main tabs are the tab to send a message, either plain or with a location or picture attachment, a history tab which shows you the most recent updates you sent, and finally a map where you can pinpoint your current location.

One of the things I like about this app is when you are sending an update, you can choose which method of post you want to do. For example, if you would like to send just a status update to all of your status sites, just choose the status method. If you want to send a microblog to a few sites, you can just choose the microblog method. If you just want to send an update to a single site, then you can choose one from your list one by one.

If you are looking for a way to update your status on multiple social networking sites at once and you have an iPhone, I definitely suggest you try out Ping.FM, which is free, and the iPhone app Pingle, which is $1.99.
