Modern Warfare 2 Review
One of the games I got for Christmas this past year was Modern Warfare 2. I have been a fan of the Call of Duty series since the very first game. All of the games are about some type of war that you have to battle your way through. Modern Warfare 2’s storyline is that you are in the war against a Russian terrorist named Makarov. The game takes place in a few locations: Russia, Afghanistan, Siberia, Rio de Janeiro and Washington DC. I don’t want to spoil the storyline for you, but I can tell you that is definitely worth playing, especially if you like the first Modern Warfare’s storyline.
The gameplay in this game is absolutely fantastic, but after playing the original Modern Warfare for a while, it takes a bit to get used to it. It has the same controls that are very simple to control and does not take very long to get used to. During the story mode, there are a lot of interactions with the game other than just shooting people. For instance, on one of the levels, you have to climb this snow covered mountain with what looks like some sort of ice pick. I don’t know about anyone else, but I like to have some sort of other interactions other than just shooting people and throwing grenades.
One of the big hits of this game is the multiplayer mode. This option is available on all platforms the game is for and is definitely a lot of fun. If you played the previous Modern Warfare 2, get ready to have even more fun, but on a brand new collection of maps. The new maps are very well done, but one of the big problems is that a majority of the maps are a little too big. The collection of guns from the previous Modern Warfare are still in this game, but are more spread out. There are some new perks, which are extra “abilities” you can have while playing. One of my favorite perks is Bling. This allows you to have 2 attachments, such as a Silencer and a Grenade Launcher, on your gun.
This game is definitely worth the buy on all platforms and will leave you with hours and hours of fun for you and some friends.
