Looking to Buy Some Cheap Games This Weekend? Check GameStop
I’m always on the prowl for video game deals. If you’re like me, and if you have no issue spending your cash on pre-owned titles, GameStop has a decent sale going on this weekend.
The amount you save differs depending on how many games you pick up. Buying two will knock 10% off the total. Four games will get you a discount of 20%. Six games will save you 30%.
The deal is even sweeter if you’re a Power-Up Rewards Pro member. Each discount tier then gets an additional 10% off.
Because the discount is taken from the total of your order, you can get your money’s worth from this deal by simply picking up a title or two that you actually want and then filling the rest of the slots with cheap $1 games. A relatively new title may be $54.99 used, so if you add five more $1 titles to that (and if you’re a Power-Up Rewards Pro member getting the 40% discount), you can get all six of those games for a grand total of $35.99.
One last tip for Power-Up Rewards Pro members: if you really only want two games, you can put them both in your cart and add the coupon code CAG16. That code is good for a 16% discount on used games, and stacks on top of the 10% off you get as a PUR member.
I know that GameStop isn’t the most optimal spot as far as price goes. Without discounts, the company’s used game prices are usually way above what you’d find on craigslist, eBay or even Amazon. But if you have your heart set on a certain title and don’t mind rigging this sale to your advantage, you might actually be able to get some used games cheaper from GameStop than from any other source.
This sale is only running through tomorrow, April 27, so if you’re looking for a decent discount on a newer title, or if you’re just looking to build up your library with some good, cheap games, jump on this deal before it goes away.
