iPhone Wins Among Teens: 48% Own One, 62% Will Buy One
Is Apple’s iPhone losing its “cool” factor? Not among teens, according to the latest survey from Piper Jaffray.
The survey found that 48% of teens in the United States own an iPhone. That number rose from 40% last year. It also revealed that 62% of teens plan to purchase an iPhone as their next mobile device. This figure could include some respondents who already own an iPhone and plan to stick with Apple’s line of smartphones in the near future.
Apple also took home gold in the tablet department. Of the teens polled, 17% said they planned to purchase a tablet within the next six months. Out of those potential tablet buyers, 68% will plunk down their cash for an iPad.
