iPad Air Launching Across Regional Carriers Starting November 8th, iPad mini Coming to US Cellular
Good news for everyone who wants one of those new, powerful, and thin iPad Air tablets on a LTE network but just absolutely despises one of the big four cellular networks (that would be AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile) – it would appear that the cellular iPad Air will begin launching across many prominent Regional Carriers on November 8th, just one week after the tablet launches on one of the big four carriers.
US Cellular seems to be the first and only one to commit to that Novemer 8th date, however other regional carriers like Bluegrass Cellular, C Spire and GCI promise that they’ll have their iPads available “sometime in November.” Apple has been giving more and more love to the regional carrier crowd as of late, recently launching the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c lines across these networks just a couple of weeks ago.
Of particular note, the iPad mini with Retina Display has also made an appearance on US Cellular recently, with the carrier promising that they would be carrying Apple’s smaller (but not at all less powerful) iPad at some undetermined date. As such, I would expect that the iPad mini will also be finding its way across the other regional carriers as well, as long as history repeats itself – however we have no confirmation of that as of yet.
Are you excited to get your hands on Apple’s newest (and thinnest) full sized iPad, the iPad Air? Will you be picking a cellular version up at your local regional character? Or are you in my camp and desperately waiting for that holy grail of iPads, the iPad mini with Retina Display? Let us know in the comments below as we count down the days until launch!
