[UPDATE] If You Thought Facebook Going Down Was Bad, A Bunch of People Lost Their Tinder Matches
Facebook went down. And then it came back up. It happens to almost every website.
For some, that wasn’t the worst thing to happen on the Internet today.
A bit after Facebook came back up, I noticed some people tweeting that their Tinder matches had disappeared. So I set up a TweetDeck column to match any mentions of this. Turns out, it’s an issue affecting quite a number of users.
Here’s a sampling of people grieving over their now-clean Tinder slates.
Is it sad that I was almost crushed because tinder deleted all my matches? Justifiably though, I was in the middle of conversations.

What the fuck. Tinder crashed and I've now lost all my matches. How else am I going to find a potential wife?

Tinder somehow deleted all of my matches. There goes the majority of the female communication in my life.

Facebook goes down. Tinder goes down. All matches disappear. Tinderites are freaking out left right and centre. #endoftheworld

At this point, we don’t know if matches will be restored or if all these users will be forced to start anew.
We’ll update as soon as we learn more.
UPDATE:
According to the @Tinder Twitter account, users should now be able to get their matches back by logging out of the app and logging back in again.
We had a brief outage but we're back up! Don't worry your matches are still there! Just log out and log back in. Tinder on!
