6 holiday light palettes for your Philips Hue lights
A few months ago we published my review of the Philips Hue lighting system, in which I raved about how these lights have changed my life (for the better). One of the ways they've done that, as I outlined in the review, is that they're a great way to set the mood in a room and that's what I want to focus on today with a number of light palettes that you can use to create a holiday season-themed room.
Thankfully for you, I've already gone ahead and curated some photos that work great as light palettes. I've even given them names, though, feel free to rename them if you see fit. In order to utilize these light palettes, simply save each image to your phone and then open the Philips Hue app, tap on the New scene button and then tap on the camera icon at the bottom, on the next screen tap on Camera roll and load the light palette image. You will have to do each one individually and be sure to save each palette so you can easily select it again later.

Last but certainly not least, a true holiday classic: the Merry Christmas light palette. I spent a lot of time looking for a good image for this light palette and I think this one is the best I've found so far. It's got the classic Christmas tree green, the Christmas red, and a little bit of sparkle. Here's how it looks in my office during the day:

Final thoughts
While it's a ton of fun creating new light palettes from images, if you don't feel like searching the internet for images to use a light palettes, check out this app called Jelly Scenes which offers pre-made light palettes, simply tap the palette you want and you're good to go.
Pro tip: when you load the image into the Philips Hue app as a new scene from your camera roll, you can tap around the screen (within the grid of the image) and/or if the image is big enough, slide it around, to change the colors of the lights before you decide on an actual palette.
If you don't have a Philips Hue light system yet, you can get one today on Amazon for $199.
Do you have any holiday images that would make a good light palette? Feel free to send them my way for potential inclusion in this list.
