Girl Scouts Cookie Oven, My Early Pick for Gadget of the Year
I’m so close to becoming a 30-year-old man who owns an Easy Bake Oven.
Well, sort of. There’s an interesting new toy/appliance from Wicked Cool Toys that looks a lot like an Easy Bake Oven. But, oh, it’s so much better. Because, instead of crappy little brownies, this treasure of a product makes Girl Scout Cookies. Phenomenally delicious Girl Scout Cookies. Year-freaking-round.
It is named — quite appropriately — the Girl Scouts Cookie Oven.
The oven is fairly safe for kids to use, should you let the little turds anywhere near the divine treats that it creates. And many of the classic cookie types are available as refill packs, waiting to be baked and instantly devoured with little to no shame. You want Thin Mints? Who doesn’t? Check. PB Sandwich? Covered. Trefoils, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Coconut Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Sugar, and Oatmeal. All available.
Wicked Cool Toys does appear to be positioning this as a toy, and I’m sure that, once it hits retail, it’ll show one of those “Ages 10 and up” tags on it. I’m here to remind you that you are probably older than 10, and there’s nothing wrong with buying this as a “gift” for your “kid” when it means Thin Mints at your command.
Because using a website to track down little kids for their cookies? That’s super weird. Let’s avoid weird and play with our toy ovens instead.
The Girl Scouts Cookie oven is set to drop in Fall 2015 at a suggested retail price of $59.99.
