Galaxy Note 3 Release Date Set for October 1st and 2nd for $299 in U.S.
Earlier this week Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch and today AT&T and T-Mobile have confirmed the availability of the company’s new phablet and smartwatch. AT&T is opening pre-orders today for the Galaxy Note 3, pricing for the handset starts at $299.99 with a two-year contract. It says orders will begin shipping “around October 1st.”
The Note 3 will arrive on T-Mobile October 2nd and cost you $199 with 24 equal monthly device payments of $21.00. While Verizon has yet to announce its pricing or release date, leaked promotional material suggests the carrier will also begin pre-orders today. A photo published by Android Spin shows that Verizon will offer the Note 3 at $299.99 on a two-year contract, and will also push a $599.98 Galaxy Gear bundle.
A Galaxy Note 3 and Gear bundle does make sense, especially since the Gear is pretty much useless without the Note 3. I’m definitely interested to see how aggressively the carriers push the bundle.
T-Mobile says the Galaxy Gear will be available alongside the Galaxy Note 3 on October 2nd at the previously announced price of $299.99. AT&T says the smartwatch will be available in “the coming weeks,” but doesn’t provide a specific date. Neither one of those carriers has made any mention of offering a bundle.
