The Future of Facebook May Be Lurking Around the Corner
Facebook is in the process of looking for some beta testers to help build the future of Facebook. It’s not some random selection process either. In order to enter yourself as a possible candidate you must think of three questions and answer them thoroughly as if you were writing an article or paper on the subject. Are you interested in possibly being a beta tester? You can submit your questions and answers here. If selected as a beta tester, you will have a chance to go out to California and visit Facebook headquarters to meet with the team responsible for this project.
What’s really interesting about this whole thing is what could possibly be in the works. Does it have anything to do with Facebook Credits? By the looks of the requirements to be a beta tester, it seems like this could be a Yahoo/Mahalo Answers type thing, but I highly doubt that’s what it is. From the Facebook page, “As a beta tester, your job will be to ask great questions and provide great answers about your favorite topics. Economics? Skydiving? Relationships? Mexican Restaurants? It’s up to you. You’ll be the first person outside of Facebook to use this product. Your expert writing will be seen by tens of millions of people — including job recruiters.” Sounds like it’s possible that you could be potentially hired if you have and answer the right questions, but of course, that’s just speculation.
What do you think? Do you have any ideas about what this new product could be? Do you plan on trying to get into the beta?
