EASEUS Partition Manager Review

EASEUS Partition Manager is one of the better pieces of hard drive partitioning software currently on the market.  It works on both Windows Server operating systems such as Windows Server 2008 and desktop Windows operating systems such as Windows Vista, XP, etc.  The software includes a number of useful tools and functionality such as, creating and deleting partitions, resizing and moving partitions, copying partitions, copying disks, formatting partitions, and hiding and unhiding partitions.

I like the fact you can preview changes before having to apply them.  This definitely will cut down on accidents and possible data loss.  I also like that in the full fledged server addition which is $149 you can create bootable disks which can be useful if the operating system becomes corrupt or there are drive issues allowing you to gain access to other partitions with ease.  Additionally, EASEUS Partition Manager fully supports hardware RAID setups and will recognize hard drives from 2GB to 1.5TB.  The software is both 32 and 64bit compatible as well which is nice given that 64bit is becoming more popular.

The only negative I see with this software is the user interface – it just seems clunky.  The icons are a tad over sized and the menus do not seem to flow nicely.  However, aside from those small things which can easily be adjusted the software is solid – it does what it says and should do.

Overall, the EASEUS Partition Manager is a nice piece of software and starting at $31 (current special) for the Professional version which is actually more for home use as it only works on Windows 2000, XP, and Vista is a decent price.  The Server Edition which sells for $149 will work on Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Server 2003 and 2008.
