DEAL: Upcoming Xbox One Assassin's Creed Bundles Will Include Two Games
Last year’s Assassin’s Creed game, Black Flag, received a lot of great reviews. This year’s title, Unity, is one of the most highly anticipated titles of the holiday season. If you don’t own an Xbox One yet and had planned on playing both, we have some good news: two new Xbox One bundles will include them at no charge.
According to Microsoft, a $399 Xbox One will go on sale with the two games. And, in a move that will likely be a relief to Kinect fans, an Xbox One with Kinect bundle will go on sale and will bundle both titles, as well. Unity will retail at $59.99. Black Flag is currently selling on Amazon for $22.99. So at the very least, picking up either bundle will add $82.98 of value to your purchase.
Two quick notes:
First, it’s great to see that Microsoft is staying aggressive with bundles. What started with Titanfall back in March has expanded to include games from multiple genres, including most major releases for the fall season. This bundle, along with bundles for Sunset Overdrive, Madden NFL 15 and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare mean that there is a lot of variety and a lot of choice for gamers.
Second, those who thought that Microsoft was slowly phasing out the Kinect can relax a little bit now that we see an Assassin’s Creed bundle including the peripheral. The franchise isn’t known for its Kinect use, but the bundle could serve as a way to get more Kinect sensors out in the wild. And really, that’s good for everyone in the long run.
The Assassin’s Creed bundles are set to go on sale November 2, 2014 at “select retailers.” We’ll certainly try to update you when we learn which retailers will be selling the bundles. I’m expecting both — especially the Kinect flavor — to be extremely popular.
