BlackBerry Sales Are Apparently Off To A Good Start
BlackBerry issued a press statement earlier today which stated that its new products are off to a solid start. According to the statement, sales were 50% better than any other Canadian launch and three times better than the company’s best previous performance in the United Kingdom.
Unfortunately, not many numbers were provided aside from those. No number in terms of sales volume or anything like that. BlackBerry also did not mention anything about the United Arab Emirates, which was the third country in which the new BlackBerry’s launched. You can read the full statement below.
“In Canada, yesterday was the best day ever for the first day of a launch of a new BlackBerry smartphone. In fact, it was more than 50% better than any other launch day in our history in Canada,” said Thorsten Heins, President & CEO of BlackBerry. “In the UK, we have seen close to three times our best performance ever for the first week of sales for a BlackBerry smartphone.”
It’s not much of a statement, but at least its something. However bad news for BlackBerry also reared its head out today on the news that the Q10 may see delays launching in the U.S.
