Autonomous launches SmartDesk 3, world's first AI desk

We previously reviewed the SmartDesk 2 by Autonomous which we really liked, but like everything in the tech industry, the SmartDesk 2 is now old news. Autonomous has just announced the release of its SmartDesk 3, which they claim to be the world’s first artificially intelligent (AI) desk.

What makes the SmartDesk 3 so smart you ask? Good question.

The desk runs the brand new Autonomous OS and has a built-in 7-inch touchscreen display. SmartDesk 3 can connect to your smartphone, which provides it access to things like your calendar, allowing it to remind you of meetings, when to drink water, when to stand up/sit down, etc. When you get a reminder to stand up, you can have the desk automatically adjust to your preset standing position and vice versa when it’s time to sit back down.

The desk also has a number of built-in shortcuts that allow you to adjust a Nest thermostat, make coffee, order food, request an Uber, play music, and much more.

The SmartDesk 3 starts at $549 (early bird pricing, will eventually go to $600) and comes in three colors: white, titan black, and grayscale. You can buy it directly on the Autonomous site.
